Nice Healthcare

Nice will save you time.

You can schedule a visit at any time, from any of the states Nice is licensed to provide care: Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wisconsin.  You cannot receive care if you are located outside one of these states.  All you have to do is to log into your account.  You can choose the time that works best for you, and, if you have multiple sick members in your household, the visit will automatically be scheduled for more time, so everyone gets adequate time to be seen and evaluated.

You don’t have to go anywhere to get care.  All visits are either via video (through the Nice app), or a Nice professional will come to you (your home or workplace) for a physical exam.

You can access your treatment plans right through the Nice app at any time.  No need to call and wait on the phone to get through to talk to someone, just send them a message if you need something!

Nice will save you money.

• Each visit is no cost for those on the Macalester PPO copay medical plan type.
• Effective 1/1/2025, due to legislative changes, HDHP participants will be required to pay a $10 fee for Nice Healthcare services. You will be able to use your HSA funds to pay this fee. You will receive an invoice via the Nice App within 30 days of the appointment. You can pay it online.
• There is no extra cost for the visit or labs or x-rays, prescriptions or their coaching programs.

Each board-certified medical provider is hand-picked, and they only choose people who are Nice.  They want to build confidential and trustworthy relationships with their patients and are committed to providing outstanding medical care.

Nice medical providers offer holistic health and want to make sure everyone in the family is healthy and happy.  This means that kids and parents can see the same provider.  And they love babies, so even very young children can be seen.

Primary Care Services

Nice is at it’s heart a primary care clinic and offers the bulk of the services you might expect of an urgent care or primary care clinic. All primary care services are provided virtually (video or chat visit), at work, or in your home. At a high level, Nice primary care provides the following:

• Diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illness

• Physical exams

• Rapid tests

• Blood draws

• Labs

• X-rays

• Prescriptions

• Care guidance

Mental Health Services

Overcoming life’s challenges requires an equal commitment to maintaining physical and mental well-being. At Nice, their mental health therapists empower you to maintain your mental wellness by developing the skills you need to reach your goals. Nice can help:

• Enhance mindfulness

• Refine ability to regulate emotions

• Develop boundary setting skills

• Strengthen conflict resolution skills

• Live in better alignment with your values

Mental health treatment through Nice is not intended to address serious mental illness or chronic mental health needs, such as (but not limited to) suicidal/homicidal ideation, self-injurious behavior, substance use, eating disorders, trauma, and complicated grief; we recognize the value of long-term therapy to address these needs. Nice’s mental health services are provided virtually.

Physical Therapy

Nice provides you access to physical therapy to help you improve mobility, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability with targeted exercises and education. You’ll learn the skills to integrate movement into your daily life, empowering you to take control of your pain and prevent long-term injuries.

In physical therapy, you will work together as a team, and you’re the leader.  Their physical therapists will identify the best treatment approach for your condition while working closely with you to tailor the treatment to your specific needs and goals. They help you understand the rationale behind our treatment choices and provide exercises to help you recover – periodically updating your exercise routine based on your progress.

Nice’s physical therapy services are provided virtually by licensed physical therapists who are trained to diagnose and treat virtually.

Who is eligible to use Nice Healthcare?

Spouses/Domestic Partners and Dependent Children up to age 26 of employees who are enrolled in one of our health plans may utilize Nice Healthcare at no cost, even if the Spouse/Domestic Partner or children are not enrolled on our health plan. *Effective 1/1/2025, due to legislative changes, HDHP participants will be required to pay a $10 fee for Nice Healthcare services. How do I access Nice Healthcare?

Patients start with a chat or video by visiting https://www.nice.healthcare/schedule.  Most visits can be completed through chat or video.  If needed, a Nice Healthcare provider will travel to you for labs, X-rays, or physical tests.

Mobile apps are available in the App Store and Google Play.

Online visit hours are: Monday-Friday from 8:00am-7:00pm and Saturday-Sunday from 9:00am-12:00pm.  Home visit hours are: Monday-Friday from 9:00am-5:00pm.

Nice Healthcare has partnered with leading digital pharmacy Capsule – bringing effortless, free same-day medication delivery to Nice patients in the Twin Cities. All Nice patients can choose Capsule to easily manage and receive over 550 Nice formulary medications for zero cost, including free same-day delivery. Patients will also be able to add on non-Nice formulary medications, OTC medications, and other medical supplies at their own cost while still benefiting from the free same-day delivery.
