Course Reserves
Materials for Classes
Course reserves are materials (books, films, CDs) placed on short-term checkout in the library for all students to share. The list of reserve materials for a course is not necessarily all of the required materials for that course.
When you use the Course Reserves search box, you will see the availability of all of the items on reserve for your course. Search by instructor name, course title, or department code (e.g. HIST), or choose the active button next to “Status” to see a list of all the courses with items on reserve this semester.
In addition to other course materials, thanks to our partnership with Macalester College Student Government’s textbook program, the library has every textbook on reserve.
