Computer Science Major Requirements prior to 2019-2020

If you have completed COMP 124, you are on your way to completing the Computer Science major under the old major requirements, prior to a change made beginning in 2019-2020. Under the previous requirements, these courses will be required for your major:

• One of: COMP 120, COMP 123, or COMP 194 First Year Topics course
• COMP 124
• All of: COMP 221, COMP 225, COMP 240, and COMP 261/361
• 3 courses numbered 3xx or 4xx, one of which must be a capstone course completed before the Spring of your senior year
• 3 supporting MATH courses, one of which must be MATH 279 (Discrete Mathematics)

Note: If you have completed COMP 124, you will need to take Theory of Computation, either COMP 261 or the renumbered COMP 361.
