Daniel O’Loughlin

I returned to Macalester in the Fall of 2023 after 21 years in the nearby neighborhood at St. Catherine University and, most recently, at St. Paul Academy. I have been a Math Teacher at many levels from high school through college for 40 years. I previously taught at Macalester from 1999-2002. I retired from full-time teaching in the Spring of 2023. I have a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Minnesota in 1997. My research area was Geometric Curvature flows, but more recently I have been involved in developing college level courses in Statistics and Data Science for high school students. I enjoy riding my bike all over the Twin Cities and greater Minnesota. I also enjoy cooking, knitting and traveling with my wife and family.
