State Department recognizes Macalester as top producer of Gilman Scholars The college has produced the most Gilman recipients over the past 20 years in the Small Institution 20-year Overall Top Producer category. Exploring career interests Through an internship grant program at Macalester, students were able to explore career interests at a number of places, in the Twin Cities and around the world. Voices from the Opioid Epidemic In her new book, history professor Amy Sullivan examines the opioid epidemic’s past, present, and future. Macalester College inaugurates Dr. Suzanne M. Rivera as its 17th president On October 9, 2021, Macalester formally inaugurated Dr. Suzanne M. Rivera as the college’s 17th president. Macalester Selects New Dean of Students Dr. Kathryn Kay Coquemont will become the college’s Associate Vice President and Dean of Students. She will begin her new role January 2022. Pres. Rivera named to board of College Possible President Suzanne Rivera has been named to the national board of directors of College Possible, a national college access and success nonprofit. Previous Next
