Blooma

I have been interested in reproductive rights for a long time, but in recent years I have realized that mainstream understanding of this issue focuses narrowly on pro-choice narratives. I wanted to use my Chuck Green experience to explore broader interpretations of reproductive rights.

I decided to partner with Blooma, a wellness studio that works to support women and families during the childbearing years. My work at Blooma has centered on making resources for pregnancy and early parenthood more accessible to families in the Twin Cities through networking with community organizations and streamlining the way that Blooma responds to community requests.

In addition to learning about optimizing outcomes in women’s healthcare, being immersed in organizational work has been a valuable way to gain professional experience and connect with community members and professionals who share my interests.
