Spend time in our class decade lounge open at various times throughout the weekend. Leave a message on the whiteboard and grab a few snacks while finding your classmates. This is a great place to relax and connect with new and old friends. Located on the 2nd floor of the theater building. Snacks and refreshments available Friday and Saturday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

Parenting Room
A parenting room for nursing parents is available 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. throughout Reunion weekend.

Celebrating 20 Years of Work at Omrit
A photographic retrospective of the Macalester excavations at Omrit in northern Israel. The work uncovered the Roman period Herodian temple complex. Our visual account begins with the earliest season of digging a “mystery” mound in 1998 to 2019, including the conservation and restoration of the fully revealed temple foundations, architecture, and frescoes.

Inner College (IC) was a radical experiment in self-directed learning during the 1969-70 school year. We lived coed in the Summit Houses with a prof and his family with the intention of creating a “community of scholars” and had no requirements as to what or how we studied. This gathering invites those IC participants to share deeply about what calls to them at this stage in their life, and how the experience of IC has influenced their lives.

Women’s Gathering for 1971
Many of us from the class of ’71 remember the powerful women’s gathering up in Old Main during our 25th reunion. Come be part of our circle again to share the many directions our lives have taken, as well as the challenges we’ve faced and the barriers we’ve overcome as women.
Has any class experienced more change in their lives than we have?  At Mac we went from curfews and a white glove reception in the President’s home our first year to coed dorms and women’s liberation meetings in our junior and senior years.  In the wider world, we went from overt discrimination in many areas to more opportunities available to us as our culture and its norms changed. We spent years trying to balance family, work, relationships and time for ourselves. And what calls to us from now on? Come join us for some open-hearted sharing!

Alumni of Color Art Conversation and Listening Session
In recognition of the 2019 Alumni of Color Reunion and 50th Reunion of the Expanded Educational Opportunities program, Macalester issued a call for artists to create public artwork that acknowledges and commemorates the past, present, and future of alumni of color. Artist Michael Khuth ’20 was selected for his proposal of a sculpture that will represent a range of perspectives and experiences, serve as a visual and physical symbol for histories and futures on campus, and a prompt to recognize the complexity of these processes. Join Khuth to hear about  is work and share your story to help influence the evolution of this new Macalester landmark.

Mac Hac Annual Athletics Golf Fundraiser
The Mac Hac Golf Fundraiser raises funds to help enhance the experience of Macalester student-athletes. This year the proceeds will go to the Breyer Fund, an endowment which supports women’s sports at Macalester. We expect 36 foursomes of alumni, parents, staff, and friends for a day of great golf, fun, food, and prizes. Shotgun start at Noon. Registration is separate from Reunion 2022 and can be done through the Athletic Department website at athletics.macalester.edu.
