The class of 1975 will be inducted into the Golden Scots Society with music, memories, and medallions during a heartwarming ceremony celebrating the past and the future. Class of 1975 inductees are asked to arrive at the flagpole by 9:45 a.m. to line up. All are welcome to attend!

The Mac Hac Golf Fundraiser raises funds to help enhance the experience of Macalester student-athletes. This year, the proceeds go to the Breyer Fund, an endowment which supports women’s sports at Macalester. Registration is separate from Reunion 2025 and can be done through the Athletic Department website at athletics.macalester.edu.

Get to know the sustainability initiatives at Macalester. During this tour and talk, participants will learn about sustainability initiatives on campus including: decarbonization and zero waste efforts, active transportation, gardens and food justice, and efforts to improve biodiversity and stormwater management.

Join us for Then and Now: A Panel on Student Life, an engaging conversation exploring the student experience across generations. This dynamic panel brings together alumni and current students to share personal stories of triumphs and challenges during their time on campus. Together, they will reflect on how learning, social life, and community were shaped by the cultural and historical moments of their eras. The panel is facilitated by Vice President of Student Affairs Dr. Kathryn Kay Coquemont and features alumni as well as current students.

Join us for a delightful afternoon of music featuring Janina Sajka ’70 and Gilbert High ’70. Janina, an accomplished pianist, will perform classical piano solos, while Gilbert, a professional singer, will bring the timeless melodies of the Great American Songbook to life. This special Reunion 2025 performance promises an hour of beautiful music, nostalgia, and artistry—an experience you won’t want to miss!

The power of the press belongs to those who can operate one. Visit and help print commemorative artwork in Mac’s letterpress studio with DeWitt Wallace Professor Ruthann Godellei, art.

2 – 3 p.m. –  Alumni of Color Oral History Session with Archives (Limit to 10)

The Macalester Oral History Program enriches the College Archives by capturing the stories of alumni. During Reunion, the Alumni of Color Reunion and 50th Reunion classes participate in group interviews, preserving their memories for future generations. Led by experienced volunteer interviewers, these conversations explore first impressions, campus life, and the times they lived through—no preparation needed, just stories waiting to be shared!

2 – 3:30 p.m. – Alumni of Color Dance and Movement followed by Sound Bath

Join Sister Patricia Brown for a journey of expressive movement through dance, connection with community and shared experience, followed by a deeply relaxing Sound Bath provided by our Buddhist Chaplain, Rev. Marc Anderson, using instruments including crystal singing bowls and gongs.  Experience stress reduction and relaxation, full body release of energy through physical movement and deep inner calm in a meditative setting. Space is limited. No street shoes allowed.  Dance must be performed barefooted, in socks or in a soft dance shoe (e.g. ballet/jazz shoes). Wear comfortable clothing.

Catch a special musical performance by Salsa del Soul Quintet featuring Shai Hayo ’96 between 7–9 p.m including salsa dance lessons at 6:30 p.m. nad 7:30 p.m.. Join us for An Alumni Reception and Celebration of Community for First Generation College Students alumni, a special event designed to celebrate and connect first generation college students and alumni. This meaningful reception will provide opportunities to share stories, build community, and foster lasting connections across generations. We will gather around round tables, where conversation prompts will help spark engaging discussions about the first generation experience—past, present, and future. Join in community to reflect on where it all began, this gathering is a space to honor the strength, resilience, and accomplishments of our first generation community.
