Resources and Information for New Non-Tenure Track (visiting) Faculty and Postdoctoral Fellows

Welcome to Macalester! We are so pleased to have you here and are grateful for your commitment to Macalester and our students. The Serie Center is committed to supporting you in any way we can.

The Provost and Dean of the Faculty’s website includes extensive information for non-tenure track colleagues. This page includes criteria for and other information about entering the NTT Series, a process intended for long term non-tenure eligible faculty.

New non-tenure track faculty (in their first four years at Mac) and post-docs are welcome to a monthly gathering on one Monday a month from noon to 1 p.m. You will receive information about those meetings at the start of each semester and are welcome to attend any or all of the sessions.

Visiting non-tenure track faculty and postdocs are often on the job market; we have prepared a working draft of resources specifically designed to support colleagues who are seeking permanent employment in academia and related fields.
