John Dohrenwend has mastered the art of creating high-quality poster-size images based on views of earth taken by satellites. The 15 images on display in the Smail exhibit focused on waterways of North America. The images themselves are beautiful, but also have great scientific value as they capture the fine detail of part of the earth at a fixed moment in time.
