English-y Org Fair

For the October 23rd weekly Coffee House, the English Department held an “English-y” org fair as an opportunity for students to discover all of the English-related writing/literary student organizations on campus and learn about ways to get involved in each. Orgs that were represented included Chanter, The Mac Weekly, MacSlams, A Novel Idea, Hedgmonocle, and the English Honor Society. Each organization gave a short introduction about what they do, and then students had the opportunity to connect with them individually afterwards. The department’s student workers provided snacks and refreshments in the form of the classic coffee bar, honeycrisp apple cider, and some delicious pita and hummus from Baba’s Hummus House.
